All the kids (even Mason) have been peeing in the potty at school. The boys have stayed dry all day with Mrs. Rachel. She says that they even pull down their pants by themselves when they go to the bathroom.
Ok- so I know they can do it.
BUT THEY DON'T DO IT FOR ME!!!! ARGH!
Every single time I put underwear on Austin- he pees and poops in them. I remind him and take him to the potty and nope he doesn't have to go. Mason just will NOT sit on the potty for me. I even took him to the bathroom at school. And he panics and says, "No after later". Mrs. Rachel and I both think that they are going because of peer pressure. But good grief!
And Ashley...she is just so stubborn...she will only go when she wants to and sometimes you have to be in the room and sometimes she needs her 'privacies'.
Is it ok to spank them if they go in their underwear? I have not done that yet. But I'm getting desparate. Advice welcome.

First let me say that I'm a spanker. I spank mostly as a last resort but lately I've even had to threaten to get the "belt." Not that I would ever use it but threatening is really working. ha!
Having said that, I think I would go with a rewards system on this vs. punishment. I would ask them if there's something they really want. Offer to get it for them if they go pee-pee in the potty for 3 days in a row, for example. That kinda worked with us. We just made a big happy deal out of it and she was trained after about a day or two!
It's strange that they go at school! They know they can get away with it at home (I'm guessing) so they probably do it out of sheer laziness. My kid is lazy a lot. LOL

Your brother, Mark reverted to going in his pants right after he turned 4. (Kids were trained much earlier in the old days. LOL)
We were told to make him wash his own underwear when he did it. He washed them once and that was it!
We weren't mean about it. I just calmly said I didn't like to wash dirty underwear and that he would have to do it himself.
I don't recommend that yet. I like the reward idea. But, if after they seem to have it pretty well, it might work for you.
P.S. Of course you need to know who might enjoy playing in poop.
