Crocs- apparantly it's a shoe

I have heel spurs (technical term plantanious mumbo jumbo). They are hurting like crazy! Anyway, I was told that I should get some Crocs because they are really super comfy, especially in the heel.

So as soon as I have some free time I am going to buy a pair of those ugly shoes. They are SO UGLY! I don't get it...why do they go and make a comfy shoe ugly?

Well anyway, I'm going out to buy some. And I'm going to have to trust that you will tell me when they are out of style. Because I don't want to be around my girlfriends 10 years later and ya'll are saying, "Remember when it was cool to where crocs". And I will sheepishly grin and kick my crocs to the side like I forgot to where shoes and just laugh with you all. And I'll join in saying, "OH yah we thought those were so cool." LOL.

So what color should I get?

Haircuts

The kids got haircuts and they look SO cute. I need to take some better pictures but here is one of them with Ms. Ellen. And here is another snapshot of Ashley in the mirror (terribly out of focus), but it does show her haircut well.

Ashley loves her new haircut. And she says she looks like her Mommy with her Mommy haircut. I love it too. She really needed to get it cut, because of when she cut her hair in the back a few months ago. Anyway, I didn't miss it until I pulled up this next picture. Now I'm emotional.

Layouts from Saturday

So here are the layouts I did on Saturday...

I know it is hard to believe that I used hidden journaling, but this layout called for it. The picture is of all 3, but the journaling is about Mason. How this was his first time to stand and I caught it on film. Ofcourse the next picture was of him falling on top of his brother and sister. I used the Dulce line of paper. She has such pretty fun colors. Go look at Amber's blog. I got to meet her at Scrap It a few weeks ago. http://www.amberalicia.typepad.com/ (someone must teach me how to put a link in with just name.)Now this is one of my favorite layouts that I have done in a long time. You can't really tell from the scan but the paper is slightly shimmery. It was fun going back and scrapbooking some of these older pictures. I feel like I need to put their names on this layout, but I also am afraid that I will mess it up.This next layout of Ashley and me, I am going to put a straight stitch in the middle across the page under the flower. I think (hope) that will help.

Wow isn't this amazing? They were so tiny. This was when they were 3 weeks old and now they are 3 1/2. I know people say with the blink of an eye they will be all grown up. Well I'm here to tell you that this was one of the longest 3 1/2 years I've ever had. :) I love them and I truly have put all my energy into them. I just hope the next few years go slow but with better attitudes and better sleep.

disc lost

I know this is silly, but please pray that I find the disc I lost. If I don't find it by noon tomorrow, I'm going to have to do 3 or 4 hours of work all over again. I'm in a time crunch.

Thanks!

Openess begets openess!

We accomplished something really amazing today...

Today Greg and I have been married for 12 happy years! Unfortunately Greg is not feeling very well today, so we didn't go out or anything. We just stayed at home and ate Blue Bell ice cream! If you haven't had Blue Bell ice cream you need to stop everything and go get some. :) LOL It's that good!

I don't understand divorce. Now I'm not talking about divorce where there is a good reason behind it. I have many friends who are divorced and sometimes it was called for and sometimes it just wasn't their choice. I'm talking about the kind of divorce when people say "we are just not happy together anymore." Hello? Who said you have to be happy all the time? Marriage is a committment, something that always changes and continues to evolve. Many times it is difficult. But my goodness WORK it out! Get help---whatever!

We have been learning a lot about community recently in our Sunday school class and small group. Do you know how important it is to have someone to talk to? So many people just don't have another person that they can bounce things back and forth. If you don't have a friend to talk to you need to find one or even find a counselor to talk to.

One thing we have also talked about is having "couple counceling". Many times if we get with a girlfriend to talk it is easy to bash our spouse and let off steam. But that's not very beneficial, and only one side of the story is heard. But if we get with another couple and talk about our problems, we are able to hear outloud both sides of the story and get a perspective from an outside party that could be beneficial in helping us work on it.

Openess begets openess!

Please be real! We need eachother.

It's late...I hope this makes sense.

Computer FUN!

Finally something worth blogging about. This is absolutely hysterical, I hope that I can put it into words.

Tonight Mason was playing on the computer. He has just learned how to control the mouse all by himself. So I put on www.starfall.com for him to play around with. He said, "Go Mommy". So I went downstairs, while he played on the computer. He called for me 2x when somehow he accidently got out of his program.

Well during this time, my friend Dana IMs me.

Dana: oh my gosh - www.Scrapittn.com has so many yummy things!

Then my 3 year old son has a conversation with Dana. He starts pushing buttons that say these hysteral things. And Dana on the other end...thinks it's me. Here's how it goes...

Mason: Whaaadddup?!
Dana: the kids thought that was hysterical!
Mason: Hello? Hello? Anybody there? Echo!
Mason: Buh-bye! Buh-bye now. Buh-Bye!
Mason: I hope you're hungry 'cause I'm about to take you to lunch.
Dana: thanks for providing the fri night entertainment!
Dana: lol rofl
Mason: Hello? Hello? Anybody there? Echo!
Dana: Muhahahaha!
Dana: I hope you don't slip while I'm mopping the floor with you.
Dana: Seriously, are you even trying?
Dana: Oooh that's gotta hurt
Dana: Badabing badabang badaboom
Mason: Muhahahaha!
Dana: Hit me with your best shot... Grandma!
Dana: Muhahahaha!
Dana: I hope you don't slip while I'm mopping the floor with you.

So when I came upstairs to get my grocery money I found this conversation and just busted out laughing!!! So I called Dana right away to let her know she had a conversation with a 3 year old.

All work and no play...

Nothing new today. We stayed home and I attempted to clean clean and clean some more. I worked SO hard and the kids were right at my feet messing it up. I did actually at one point have everything off the family room floor so that I could vacuum. I had plans with 2 different families for tomorrow and they both had to cancel, so I guess tomorrow I'll work on the Kitchen. BLEH!

From Greg: I'm so proud of Chelle, she worked so hard today!

Ice cream moustaches and beards and noses...

I am getting so aggrivated with blogger. I have been trying to put on pictures and it goes through the whole process and then does nothing. Well I have these 3 pictures on there, hopefully I'll be able to get the other 2 on there later.

Today we went to the mall and met Dalton and Braxton there. They are SO adorable! And Dalton wanted to come home with me. What can I say, I'm smitten. :) LOL.

After seeing my kids get ice cream moustaches and beards. Dalton put his nose right into the icecream! And said I've got an ice cream nose. And Braxton had to show off his moustache. I could just eat them up. They are so cute. Sorry Miss Dana for teaching your sons to play with their food.

Just having fun

The kids painted in the bathtub today.

Austin thought it was funny to paint his "boy parts". Remind me next time to give them each an ice cube tray filled with different colored paints instead of giving them the bottles. Austin really liked to dump the paint. Then they were sliding around in the tub. And Ashley enjoyed mixing the paint.

Austin painted a dinosaur.Ashley painted a giant and a dinosaur. and Mason painted a red cross and a chrystal.

Now after they painted they were taking a bath. Well actually they took 3. One to get the paint off, one to get clean and one because I was in the shower and they wanted to be in there too.

But this picture is obviously the first one, where they are getting the paint off.

Gross I know but Austin puts his head down into the water and I said, "Austin what are you doing?" He said, "I'm being baptized!" I said, "Who is baptizing you?" He said, "I can baptize myself all by myself".

Then Ashley chimes in, "I'm going to tell everyone who comes over to get baptized."

HA HA HA! I didn't even know they knew anything about baptism yet. Goes to show you they are sponges at this age.

Speaking of sponges...Austin told Ashley that she was on his nerve. LOL

treasure

Austin locked himself in the guest bedroom. When I noticed where he was I jiggled the door knob and said, "let me in. " He let me in and was looking at my Xyron machine and said, " I wanted to make something for you to treasure."

bribery

My kids did NOT want to where green on St. Patty's day. I had to do a lot of bribing to get them to keep their shirts on. First it was I would take them to Target to get Popcorn...but that turned into ice cream.

Austin was my toughest. I had to promise we would have purple day another day.

Then there were the kiddie rides...

And we ended up get chalk at the Dollar Tree. But hey I got a beautiful picture out of it.

Later that night we went to Dana's house and played...

Her cute kids and my kids got along great! And Dalton had a big crush on Ashley. But Ashley wouldn't have anything to do with his advances. Poor Dalton! We had a great time, the kids played well and we got to have some adult conversations. Then when we finally got our husbands to stop talking and for Greg to take our kids home, then Dana and I sat down to scrapbook. We started so late that I ended up crashing at her house. I only got 2 layouts done. But it was nice and like a vacation. :)

I couldn't help having this photo oportunity! Happy St. Patricks Day! From Aussie, Ashley and Mason!

All is well

We had another great day today. We went to the library, McDonalds, Scrap It and then to the playground. We would have gone to church, but Mason and Ashley fell asleep at 5:00. I really hope they sleep through the night.

This morning Mason grabbed this snowman and said take a picture of me. When I told him I didn't have my camera. He said, "Well get your phone and take a picture." He was so cute I had to go get the camera.

Now this picture is the greatest! I'll have to scrapbook this one for sure. Does any titles come to mind for any of you scrapbookers?

Do all of you know about family night (Tuesdays 5:00- 8:00 PM) at Chic Fil-a? We just learned about this 3 weeks ago and I think it will become a ritual! Kids meals are only 99 cents. And it is not limited to kids! So we go and buy 5 or 6 kids meals and only pay $5 or $6 for the whole family!

I just love this picture of Ashley, but I need to learn how to photoshop the dirt off of her face.

Have a happy day!

This and That

LOL! I've gotten on to 2 people who were not keeping up with their blogs. Hmmmmmm....so I guess I better do the same huh?

It's been crazy here, but for the last 3 days the kids have been good. I hope we are turning a corner into better behaviors!

Do you know this handsome little boy? It's Gabriel...Doris' little one. I have him in Bible class and he made me laugh so much on Sunday. I took this picture and he stumbled over his words and said, "pictures....NO MORE" and put his hand out to say stop. I couldn't help but laugh.

Over the weekend I actually was able to scrapbook at home. I haven't done this in a VERY long time. I got 8 pages done all for a baby book for a friend.

Have you ever seen Kindergarten Cop? I'm reminded of that show daily, as my children are facinated with talking and showing their body parts to each other. They made me laugh, because they got very confused with the Prince Charming doll. As Ashley would say, "Prince Charming is a girl because it has a "b"gina. So we had to explain that dolls are not made with boy parts. I asked their teacher today if they talk about it at school. And thankfully she said no. I was relieved since they talk about it all the time here. I'm afraid they are going to educate everyone who comes over.

Cute story...

I gave Austin a poptart last week. And his eyes were so bright and big and he said, "This is the BEST looking poptart I ever saw!!!!!" "And I've seen LOTS of poptarts"

Just a spoon full of sugar makes it just perfect!

I have tons of things I would like to share with you, but I just don't have time to go into it right now. (maybe later today)

But I just HAD to share this:

The kids have been watching Mary Poppins a lot lately. Do you remember when Mary Poppins meets the children and she pulls out a measuring tape and she tells the kids what they are like? I don't remember exactly, but something like stubborn and doesn't like to put away his toys. Then they ask her what she is. So she says very well and measures herself and it says, Mary Poppins practically perfect in every way.

Well the kids found a toy measuring tape today and Ashley measured me and said, "Just perfect". Can you see me smiling from ear to ear?

Then later she handed the measuring tape to Mason and told him to tell her how great she is. LOL
